Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round baking pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs before mixing in milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine wet and dry mixtures while gently stirring. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Divide batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks. Frost as desired.
