A creamy and cheesy baked potato dish that’s perfect as a side or main course.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper; stir until well mixed.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly grated cheese.
- Feel free to add herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
