- 1 teaspoon Green Gel Food Coloring (Adjust as needed for desired color)
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar (Optional for a simpler look)
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch (Helps create a melt-in-your-mouth texture)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the cake mix, softened butter, eggs, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add green gel food coloring gradually until you achieve your desired hue.
- Combine powdered sugar and cornstarch in a separate bowl.
- Roll dough into tablespoon-sized balls and coat in the sugar mixture.
- Arrange dough balls on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart, and flatten slightly.
- Top each cookie with a red heart sprinkle.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
