Description

Delicious and crispy ground beef tacos with a cheesy filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Onion (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons Taco Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 cups Mexican Shredded Cheese Blend
  • 12 Corn Tortillas
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with the onions in a skillet until brown. Drain the excess grease.
  2. Stir in the water, taco seasoning and salsa.
  3. Heat uncovered for 3-5 minutes until the flavors are combined.
  4. Heat the tortillas in the microwave for 30 seconds and then lay them out in a clean work surface.
  5. Spoon the taco meat onto each tortilla and top with the shredded cheese.
  6. Fold each of the corn tortillas in half.
  7. Heat the vegetable oil in a clean skillet over medium high heat.
  8. Once the oil is heated to approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit, place 1-2 tacos in the hot oil at a time. Cook the tacos for 2-3 minutes per side until both sides are browned.
  9. Once cooked, carefully remove the tacos to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess grease.
  10. Continue this process until all the tacos are fried.
  11. Allow the tacos to cool slightly and then they are ready to serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, top tacos with fresh cilantro and lime juice.
  • Adjust the amount of taco seasoning to suit your taste.
  • Ensure oil is hot enough to achieve crispy tacos.
