Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and molasses until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mix until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto lined baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
