- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture; beat until combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; fold in chopped strawberries and chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe strawberries for natural sweetness.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
