- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp peppermint extract (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 8 oz cream cheese (for frosting)
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 2 tbsp milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients without overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy; add milk gradually until smooth.
- Once cooled, spread frosting over the bars and cut into squares.

- Adjust peppermint extract to taste for desired flavor strength.
