Enjoy your delicious Strawberry Cream Cake Balls!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup strawberry cake mix
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 cups crushed chocolate wafer cookies
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup pink candy melts
- Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, cream cheese, butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
- Shape the Balls: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Coat with Cookie Crumbs: Roll each ball in the crushed chocolate wafer cookies until fully coated. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill: Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and pink candy melts separately, in 20-second intervals, stirring frequently, until smooth.
- Dip the Balls: Using a fork, dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing it back on the parchment.
- Decorate: Drizzle the melted pink candy over the white chocolate-coated balls for decoration.
- Set: Allow the coated balls to set at room temperature for at least 1 hour or refrigerate to speed up the process.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese and butter are fully softened before mixing for a smoother texture.
- Experiment with different candy melt colors for various occasions.
- Store the cake balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- For extra strawberry flavor, add finely chopped fresh strawberries to the mixture before shaping the balls.
