Description

Enjoy your delicious Strawberry Cream Cake Balls!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strawberry cake mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups crushed chocolate wafer cookies
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pink candy melts
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, cream cheese, butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
  2. Shape the Balls: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Coat with Cookie Crumbs: Roll each ball in the crushed chocolate wafer cookies until fully coated. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill: Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  5. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and pink candy melts separately, in 20-second intervals, stirring frequently, until smooth.
  6. Dip the Balls: Using a fork, dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing it back on the parchment.
  7. Decorate: Drizzle the melted pink candy over the white chocolate-coated balls for decoration.
  8. Set: Allow the coated balls to set at room temperature for at least 1 hour or refrigerate to speed up the process.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese and butter are fully softened before mixing for a smoother texture.
  • Experiment with different candy melt colors for various occasions.
  • Store the cake balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • For extra strawberry flavor, add finely chopped fresh strawberries to the mixture before shaping the balls.
