Description
These Air Fryer Taco Bombs are filled with seasoned ground beef and cheese, wrapped in fluffy biscuit dough, and cooked to golden perfection. A delicious twist on taco night!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Optional toppings: sour cream, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, salsa
Instructions
- Cook the taco filling – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Once the meat is fully cooked, stir in the taco seasoning and water. Let it simmer for a few minutes until thick and flavorful.
- Prepare the dough – Open the biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Flatten them gently with your hands or a rolling pin to create small circles. This will make room for the filling while ensuring the dough wraps neatly around it.
- Fill the taco bombs – Place a spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture in the center of each flattened biscuit. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Carefully pull the edges of the dough together around the filling and pinch to seal, forming a smooth ball.
- Season the outside – Mix melted butter with garlic powder and onion powder. Brush this mixture lightly over each taco bomb. This simple step adds an extra layer of flavor and helps the outside turn beautifully golden.
- Air fry – Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the taco bombs seam-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Cook for 7–9 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
- Serve and enjoy – Let them cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm with sour cream, salsa, or your favorite taco toppings.
