Deliciously crispy bites filled with cheesy buffalo chicken goodness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Buffalo sauce
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix Chicken and Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and Buffalo sauce. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the Bites: Using your hands, shape the chicken mixture into bite-sized balls.
- Prep the Breading Stations: Place the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten eggs in another, and the breadcrumbs in a third dish.
- Bread the Bites: Coat each chicken bite in flour, then dip into the eggs, and finally roll in breadcrumbs until well-coated.
- Fry the Bites: Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken bites in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Drain and Serve: Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Garnish with parsley and more Buffalo sauce if desired.
Notes
- For a healthier option, try baking the chicken bites at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Experiment with different cheeses, like mozzarella or pepper jack, for a unique flavor twist.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for extra dipping delight.
