- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium sweet onion, diced
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion, shredding the cabbage, dicing the carrots, and mincing the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and carrots; sauté until onions are translucent.
- Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Add the shredded cabbage and minced garlic; stir until cabbage wilts but remains slightly crunchy.
- Pour in the beef broth along with salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes until aromatic.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and taste.
