Description

A hearty beef and cabbage dish that’s easy to make and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium sweet onion, diced
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion, shredding the cabbage, dicing the carrots, and mincing the garlic.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and carrots; sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage and minced garlic; stir until cabbage wilts but remains slightly crunchy.
  5. Pour in the beef broth along with salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes until aromatic.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and taste.
