Description

A delicious and quick Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry recipe that features tender beef, fresh broccoli, and a flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • to taste Sesame seeds for garnish
  • to taste Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  4. Push the beef to one side of the pan. Add the broccoli florets and onion to the other side. Stir-fry the vegetables for 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Give the prepared sauce a quick stir, then pour it over the beef and broccoli in the skillet.
  6. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and coats everything evenly.
  7. Remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles.
