Description

A delicious Korean-style beef stir fry using rib eye steak, marinated in a flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless rib eye steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 34 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Korean red pepper paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 4 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds (to garnish)
  • cooked rice (to serve)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced rib eye steak in a large Ziploc bag.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the coconut aminos, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, freshly grated ginger, and Korean red pepper paste.
  3. Add the sauce to the beef in the Ziploc bag and stir to combine. Marinate the meat for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of the toasted sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add half of the marinated meat and arrange it in a single layer in the pan to evenly cook. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Repeat with the remaining oil and meat.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds, and serve over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For best flavor, allow the meat to marinate overnight.
  • Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of Korean red pepper paste.
