Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare the Cupcake Batter: In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Bake the Cupcakes: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the Frosting: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency. Beat on high speed for 3-4 minutes until the frosting is light and fluffy.
- Decorate the Cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are completely cool, pipe the frosting onto them using a piping bag with a star tip. Decorate with red, green, and gold sprinkles, and add candy pearls. Lightly dust with gold edible glitter for an extra festive touch.
