Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with red cupcake liners.
- Prepare the Batter: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Bake: Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Prepare the Frosting: In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
- Decorate: Pipe the whipped cream frosting onto the cooled cupcakes in a circular motion to create a swirl effect. Carefully place red edible ornaments on top of each cupcake. Sprinkle with edible silver beads and glitter for a festive touch.
