- Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim the tough stems, and remove any yellow or wilted leaves.
- In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Arrange the seasoned Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet, cut side down, in a single layer.
- After 10-12 minutes, flip the Brussels sprouts using tongs, then continue roasting until golden and crisp.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting to create a cheesy crust.
- Remove from the oven, optionally drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving.
Notes
- Choose fresh, firm sprouts for the best flavor and texture.
- Extra virgin olive oil adds delightful depth and helps achieve that perfect crunch.
- For extra heat, try substituting smoked paprika with chipotle powder.
- Drizzling balsamic vinegar is optional, but it elevates the dish with a sweet and tangy finish.
