Description

A delicious layered dessert combining chocolate and creamy textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers or digestives
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust:
    • Combine the crushed graham crackers with the melted butter in a bowl.
    • Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan to form a crust.
    • Refrigerate for about 10 minutes to set.
  2. Make the Cream Layer:
    • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
    • Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
    • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
    • Spread the creamy layer evenly over the chilled crust.
  3. Create the Chocolate Layer:
    • Melt the milk chocolate (you can use a double boiler or microwave).
    • Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly, then pour it over the cream layer.
    • Gently spread to cover the top completely.
  4. Finish with Dark Chocolate:
    • Melt the dark chocolate chips and drizzle over the top of the milk chocolate layer for decoration.
  5. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours or until firm.
    • Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps.
  • For a hint of coffee flavor, add a teaspoon of instant coffee granules to the cream cheese mixture.
  • You can substitute milk chocolate with dark chocolate if you prefer a richer taste.
  • Add nuts or berries between layers for extra texture.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the dessert into neat squares, wiping the blade between cuts for cleaner edges.
  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
