Description
This Vanilla Caramel Drizzle Cake is a rich and moist dessert topped with a luscious caramel sauce and chocolate decorations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce (for drizzle)
- Assorted chocolate decorations (such as chocolate candies or truffles)
- ½ cup chocolate ganache (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Bake in Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Baking Time: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Caramel Drizzle: Once the cake is cool, pour the caramel sauce over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Decorate: Add assorted chocolate decorations and drizzle some chocolate ganache on top, or decorate with more caramel.
Notes
- Caramel Sauce: Use a high-quality store-bought caramel sauce or make your own for a richer flavor.
- Room Temperature Ingredients: Ensure that ingredients like butter, eggs, and milk are at room temperature for a smoother batter.
- Decoration: Feel free to get creative with the decorations. You can add nuts or additional chocolate shavings for extra texture and flavor.
- Storage: Store the cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
